World Bank representatives during their visit in SCAAK

Today, December 10, 2018 - The World Bank team during their visit to Kosovo met with representatives of the Society of Certified Accountants and Auditors of Kosovo (SCAAK). During this visit was discussed the mission for continuing the dialogue and further advance the technical assistance support under the Accounting and Auditing Reforms in Public Oversight and Quality Assurance project, funded through a Financial Sector Reform and Strengthening (FIRST) Initiative’s multi-donor trust fund.

The objectives of the mission are to finalize the first set of project outputs under Component A on developing structural elements for sustainable Public Oversight and Quality Assurance System, which have been transmitted to the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and the Kosovo Financial Reporting Council (KFRC), as well as engage with the KFRC Board officials and other stakeholders in the launch of the Component B deliverables, including developing of manuals, based on international best practice, that will support the Public Oversight and Quality Assurance processes in the country.
