The latest publications from Accountancy Europe

Accountancy Europe has issued a new series of publications on:

• non-audit services
• mandatory auditors’ rotation
• public interest entities’ definitions
• audit oversight

They highlight how different the regimes in all these areas are in 30 European countries, following the implementation of the 2014 EU audit rules.

Different national regimes lead to complexity, additional compliance costs and practical and operational difficulties for internationally operating companies and audit firms. We propose to streamline countries’ regimes to improve the current state and create a level playing field in Europe.

This series of 4 publications aims to inform policymakers in the context of the European Commission’s (EC) ongoing initiative on corporate reporting.
