SCAAK participating in the webinar organized by EFAA and EUIPO

Representatives of SCAAK today participated in the webinar organized by the European Federation of Accountants and Auditors for SMEs (EFAA) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), where the cooperation agreement between the two organizations was discussed.

The objective of signing such an agreement is to allow EFAA member organizations and their members to be informed and gain some basic knowledge on Intellectual Property. During the webinar, very important information on Intellectual Property rights and training opportunities of organizations and their members were revealed.

Small and Medium Practices (SMEs) are the trusted advisors of their SME clients (SMEs) and their ability to advise their SME clients on certain aspects of their business activities is essential to help SMEs stay competitive and to grow. According to the EUIPO SME Scoreboard conducted in 2019, accountants are often the sole advisors to small and micro enterprises. They therefore play a key role in the business life of SMEs. Such a unique advisory role should include providing some basic information on Intellectual Property rights and the ability to advise their clients whenever the protection of Intellectual Property is necessary.
