Sakip Imeri is a member of the SCAAK Board for the mandate 2024-2026.
Mr. Imeri is currently the General Director of the Kosovo Competition Authority. While he was the General Director of the Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK) during the years 2016-2019, Director of Taxpayer Service at TAK during the years 2012-2016 and Deputy General Director of TAK, 2005-2012.
Mr. Imeri's professional commitments are in the private and public sector. Since 1990/91 he has been engaged as a professor of economic subjects, while since 2007, lecturer of the subject "Laws and Taxes in Kosovo" at SCAAK. He has also been engaged for over 10 years as a professor at UBT where he lecture the subjects: Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting and International Accounting Standards. He has also been engaged in the Faculty of Economics of the University of Prizren, where he has lecture the subject "Tax Accounting".
Mr. Imeri has given a special contribution in processes such as: drafting Tax Laws (Procedures, Taxes - VAT, PIT and CIT); inclusion of reporting requirements in accordance with IAS-IFRS; fiscalization process in Kosovo; drafting of TAK Strategic Plans, drafting of the Strategic Plan of the Kosovo Competition Authority, 2020-2023; negotiating double taxation agreements with Turkey, Macedonia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Albania and the United Kingdom; Developments of Electronic Tax Return (EDI), and digitalization of tax services and processes (risk, refunds, etc.) He also has published articles.
He has a degree in Economics, has a master's degree in Accounting and Auditing. He is a member of SCAAK and holds the designation of Certified Accountant.
