Fitore Neziri – President of the Board

Fitore Neziri is the Chair of the SCAAK Board for the 2026–2029 mandate.

Ms. Neziri is recognized as a professional in central banking, with over 20 years of experience in key processes within the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), alongside experience in academia and civil society.

She has held managerial positions in the Supervision of Banks, MFIs and NBFIs within the CBK, while currently serving as the Head of the Division for the Review of Financial Institutions’ Claims. In these roles, she has led a range of supervisory processes that have advanced the functioning and efficiency of the CBK. She has been directly engaged in drafting the Law on Banks, MFIs and NBFIs, the Risk‑Based Supervision Manual, as well as the Working Group for the SEPA membership application. Additionally, she has played a pivotal role in developing key regulations for banks, MFIs and NBFIs, contributing to the establishment of a regulatory framework harmonized with international standards and best practices. She has been acknowledged for her contribution and professional management in an international arbitration process.

From 2019 to 2021, she served as a Member of the Governing Council of the Public University of Applied Sciences, and during this period also served as a Member of the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee at SCAAK. In 2022, she was elected as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Free Market Economics. During the years 2018–2020, she acted as an external expert in projects of the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare and the Ministry of Economic Development, in addition to her involvement in civil society initiatives. She has lectured for a short period at the AAB Institute and Aga Xhite College (Universum).

Ms. Neziri holds a Master’s degree in Banking, Finance and Accounting. She is a member of SCAAK, holding the titles Certified Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor. Recently, she has also been licensed as a financial expert.
