Nazmi Pllana

Nazmi Pllana was President of the SCAAK Council in the 2016-2018 mandate, as well as senior lecturer in SCAAK and University of Business and Technology (UBT). He has contributed to the establishment of the first certification program for accountants and auditors in Kosovo as part of USAID's Business Support Program. On behalf of USAID, the Business Support Program was crucial to the establishment of the first Accounting and Auditing Certification Program in Kosovo for SCAAK. As part of the Business Support Program, Nazmi Pllana has been a lecturer in SCAAK since the early days, since April 2002. Currently he teaches: Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting and Advanced Financial Reporting, which are part of the SCAAK accountancy certification program. Since 2011 he is part of UBT as an academic staff teaching accounting and financial reporting, in bachelor and master programs. He is a member of the Accounting Experts Group established by the European Federation of Accountants and Auditors (EFAA). He was a member of the Kosovo Financial Reporting Council and a member of the Independent Review Board in the Tax Administration of Kosovo. He is the author of two books that were part of the Accounting Certification Program in Kosovo: the National Module of Legislation in Kosovo and Taxes in Kosovo. Nazmi Pllana has extensive experience for more than 25 years in providing accounting and tax services to clients throughout Kosovo. He is a PhD candidate at the University of Tirana. In the past, he has served two mandates as the President of the SCAAK Council. He is a member of SCAAK and holds the designation Certified Accountant.
