Representatives of SCAAK are attending the European Federation of Accountants and Auditors for SMEs (EFFA) International Conference on "Building the Digital Practice", wich is being held in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Digitalisation has, and will continue for the foreseeable future, to dramatically impact the way Europeans live, work, and play. These technologies – in particular, Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain and the associated risk of cyber security are also greatly affecting the accountancy profession and accountancy practices of all sizes. While large companies and accounting firms are embracing these technologies many question whether the same is true of small- and medium-sized practices (SMPs) and their impact small- and medium sized enterprise (SMEs) clients.

What digital technologies are relevant to SMPs and their SME clients? How are leading edge SMPs actually changing the way they operate and the services they offer? And how can SMPs attract, retain and develop new and existing staff to best leverage the new opportunities? This event is addressing these pressing questions and serve as the launch event for a new tool to help Europe’s SMPs enhance their digital competence.

Among the agenda items of the conference is digital technologies update, the launch of the EFFA digital compentency maturity model, keynote by Femke Hogema - entrepreneur, practices applying to digital technologies, talent acquisition and development, closing remarks by Bodo Richard -EFAA President
