On October 8, 2024, the Society of Certified Accountants and Auditors of Kosovo (SCAAK) welcomed a delegation from the Institute of Accountants and Chartered Accountants of the Republic of North Macedonia (ISOS) to discuss quality management practices in auditing and accounting. The meeting focused on SCAAK's approach to ensuring compliance with international standards, including IFRS for SMEs, IFRS, ISA, and other regulatory frameworks. The delegation was presented with detailed insights into SCAAK’s quality management systems, the role of the Quality Management Committee and the relevant Department, and the steps taken to uphold professional integrity within the auditing and accounting professions in Kosovo.
The session also highlighted the findings from recent quality assessments of Certified Accountants and Auditors, underscoring the importance of continuous compliance and improvement in financial reporting standards. Both organizations emphasized the value of collaboration in enhancing the profession across the region, with future opportunities for shared learning and development. This exchange marked a significant step in strengthening the relationship between SCAAK and ISOS, fostering alignment on international best practices in financial reporting and auditing.
